The intervention and randomised controlled trial were supported by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007–2013/ERC Grant Agreement No. 313421), Unicef Innocenti Office of Research, Unicef South Africa and the Cambridge Trust.
